Serena Shoup, CPA | Founder | CEO

I help experienced and aspiring accountants start and grow their own virtual bookkeeping businesses so they can create their ideal life. 

Over the past few years of running my own virtual accounting firm, I've noticed there is an abundance of small businesses that need help from qualified bookkeepers and accountants so I started mentoring others who had the desire to help these businesses.

Meriah Ayer | Director of Operations

Together, Serena and Meriah have strategically designed the companies’ culture—aligning with its brand, core values, vision, mission, and goals.  Meriah attributes her professional success to a growth mindset, being driven, setting and striving to attain her goals, taking risks, failing forward, living in integrity, and connecting with Serena.

In addition to her operations role with The Ambitious Bookkeeper, Meriah combines her leadership, team management, business ownership, and operations experience, along with her master’s degree in leadership, NLP master practitioner, business and entrepreneurship, and life coaching certifications, to provide leadership coaching within the Ambitious Bookkeeper brand. Her coaching style combines her vast experience and knowledge with a heart to serve and support others on their journey to making their dreams a reality.

During her off time, Meriah loves spending it with her two teen children. She enjoys doing volunteer work in exotic lands like Africa, Honduras, and other places. In addition, she loves hiking, wakeboarding, snowboarding, snow skiing, horseback riding, scuba diving, reading, and soaking up the beautiful sunsets God paints on a tropical beach. She gets excited when she has the opportunity to see dolphins, sea turtles, whales, giraffes, and elephants.

Tia Taylor | Graphic Designer

Tia is a multi-talented mom of two, hailing from Idaho.

She's our resident graphic & web designer AND bookkeeper, making sure all the pieces fit together beautifully.

Hannah Martin | Administrative Assistant

Hannah is a go-getter who loves to support others. When she isn’t snuggling her Pitbull, she’s most likely playing board games or enjoying the beach with her favorite people. With a background in Education, Hannah feels passionate about providing others with the tools they need to feel successful both personally and professionally.

She is our intuitive Administrative Assistant, always eager to cross things off her to-do list. Working under our Director of Operations, Hannah devotes her time to creating space for our company to grow.
